Did you know that Olivet School is part of a larger family of New Church–affiliated schools? These schools are supported by a central Board of Education that works collaboratively to develop and strengthen Christian education at every grade level. This partnership helps ensure that your child is receiving high-quality Christian education that is not only age-appropriate, but also engaging, meaningful, and rooted in New Church values.

One of the wonderful benefits of being part of this broader network is the sense of connection and community it creates. Just this past Friday, we had the joy of meeting up with our sister school, Carmel New Church School in Kitchener, Ontario, for a day filled with winter fun, friendship, and shared experiences. It was a great opportunity for students and staff alike to build relationships beyond our own school walls.

Our connection with Carmel New Church School goes beyond special events. Faculty from Olivet School and Carmel regularly meet for professional development, collaboration, and mentoring. New teachers are paired with experienced faculty members from one of our other New Church Schools, giving them guidance and support as they step into their roles. Our expereinced Olivet teachers will also visit other New Church Schools for mentoring. This mentorship model has proven to be a valuable way to help new teachers feel confident, exchange teaching ideas, and grow professionally. Because New Church schools are often smaller in size, these partnerships also help foster a wider sense of community and belonging among staff.

Carmel New Church School and Olivet School are currently the only two Canadian New Church schools. However, there are 11 Kindergarten to Grade 8 New Church–affiliated schools across North America, Africa, and Asia, along with additional international secondary and post-secondary institutions.

If you love what you see at Olivet School but don’t live in our area, we encourage you to explore the New Church School Directory—there just might be a New Church school near you. And even if there isn’t, there are many excellent online resources available to support New Church education at home, including New Church Vineyard and New Church Bible Study.

We’re grateful to be part of such a connected and supportive global community, all working together to nurture faith, learning, and meaningful relationships.
